Boreal Forest

Location: Northeast British Columbia, Canada

In a remote region of northwest Canada, SAExploration undertook a 3D project in a region populated by three First Nation communities. While First Nations accommodation is required, the Provincial Government grants approval only if the operation will have no negative impact on the communities and the environment. Due to the remote area, SAExploration was responsible for both road and bridge construction, using low-impact cutting techniques. As part of our HSE&Q management plan, considerable training was undertaken to prepare staff for the project. The 100-day dynamite/ DSU project was completed in 2010.
